About the Role
QLD Health is seeking experienced Mental Health Clinicians to join Community Mental Health and Acute Care Teams. These roles support adults (18+) experiencing acute mental health crises, delivering timely, community-based assessment and intervention.
While this role is advertised in Brisbane, permanent regional opportunities are available across Queensland, offering exposure to diverse clinical settings and strong multidisciplinary support.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver community-based acute mental health assessment and crisis response
- Conduct triage, comprehensive biopsychosocial and risk assessments
- Provide short-term interventions, safety planning, and assertive outreach
- Coordinate care and referrals with internal and external services
- Work within Trauma-Informed Care and Recovery-oriented frameworks
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across hospital and community settings
Requirements
- Qualifications in Psychology, Social Work, Occupational Therapy
- Current AHPRA registration or AASW eligibility
- Experience in acute and/or community mental health settings
- Strong risk assessment, crisis intervention, and care coordination skills
- Queensland Driver’s Licence (or ability to obtain)
