About the Role

QLD Health is seeking experienced Mental Health Clinicians to join Community Mental Health and Acute Care Teams. These roles support adults (18+) experiencing acute mental health crises, delivering timely, community-based assessment and intervention.

While this role is advertised in Brisbane, permanent regional opportunities are available across Queensland, offering exposure to diverse clinical settings and strong multidisciplinary support.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver community-based acute mental health assessment and crisis response
• Conduct triage, comprehensive biopsychosocial and risk assessments
• Provide short-term interventions, safety planning, and assertive outreach
• Coordinate care and referrals with internal and external services
• Work within Trauma-Informed Care and Recovery-oriented frameworks
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across hospital and community settings

Requirements

• Qualifications in Psychology, Social Work, Occupational Therapy
• Current AHPRA registration or AASW eligibility
• Experience in acute and/or community mental health settings
• Strong risk assessment, crisis intervention, and care coordination skills
• Queensland Driver’s Licence (or ability to obtain)
